Watch Selena Gomez’s movies for free right here. Since starring on the hit PBS show Barney and Friends during the ’90s, Disney girl Selena Gomez has rocketed to stardom through her popular series on the Disney Channel, Wizards of Waverly Place. Yet, it’s not just TV that beautiful young talent is exploring. It’s the big screen as well. Yes, that’s right: A Selena Gomez movie.
But before she starred in her feature length movie debut in Ramona and Beezus in 2010, the 18-year-old (Selena Gomez was born on July 22, 1992) starred in three made-for-TV movies, which includes Another Cinderella Story, Princess Protection Program (she starred with her BFF and fellow Disney girl Demi Lovato) and the Wizards of Waverly Place movie.
Her first movie, Ramona and Beezus, is based on the famed Ramona series from children’s novelist Beverly Cleary. Selena Gomez will play Beezus, the older sister to Ramona (played by Joey King), a 3rd grader with a huge imagination, enough energy to power a nuclear submarine and mischief-maker. The film resolves around the family’s house being taken away from them and Ramona, with the help of her sister Beezus, to find a way to save it. Perfect for a Selena Gomez movie!
But the Selena Gomez movie career doesn’t end there. She stars in the romantic comedy Monte Carlo from director Tom Bezucha. It also stars Katie Cassidy and Leighton Meester. Monte Carlo is also produced by Nicole Kidman from 20th Century Fox. The film is based on the book Headhunters by Jules Bass.
In Monte Carlo, Selena travels overseas with production kicking off in Budspest, Hungary. It centers on two best friends (Gomez and Cassidy) who save up a bunch of money for a girl trip to Paris. Alongside them, the duo are joined by Grace’s new step-sister Meg (Meester). While in Paris, Grace is believed to to be very spoiled British heiress and the three girls find themselves in the middle of a media blitz covering their every move. To add the hilarity, the girls must also find a missing million-dollar necklace that has gone missing.
Because Selena is an accomplished musician, she has also provided music for the soundtracks for Tinker Bell, Wizards of Waverly Place and Another Cinderella Story. Her band, Selena Gomez & and The Scene, also contributed a track to Ramona and Beezus.
There have been many rumors revolving around Selena Gomez leaving her acting career behind so she can pursue her singing career. That really doesn’t seem to be the case. Selena has been touring with her band and her appeared on So You Think You Can Dance? along with appearance on Letterman and Leno. She even appeared in Europe during her promotion of her album. Still, Selena Gomez has also been in Europe working on Monte Carlo so it’s apparent that the young actress is not giving up on movies.
This girl (Selena) is NOT a movie star…her last film Beezus and something-or-other barely made its production costs back. Her singing sucks, at least when she tries to sing live. She would do well to stick to Disney kiddie tv shows and milk that as long as she can.
